Tell us about the design...
The main idea behind the shop was to create a light, bright, sustainable space, but most importantly, a space capable of changing in line with the seasons, just like our cold-pressed juice. To achieve this, we drew inspiration from the traditional workers pegboard, equipping us with the ability to change shelving and displays. Another key aim was to use local suppliers. The materials are predominately locally sourced plywood with low VOC wash, which are applied in panels across the shop, allowing us to pull and change areas, creating further flexibility. The design made use of natural light and ventilation, to deliver a wholesome, relaxed home for our juice.
We were lucky enough to work with the incredibly talented Steffen Linke from Handwerk, Mike Lanyon and team to construct majority of the fitout. Steffen is a serious craftsman doing great things across Perth, including most recently on the Bread in Common fitout. The quality of our fitout is testament to his knowledge and dedication. Combined, Steffen and Mike make a fierce team and we are extremely thankful for their work over the past 3 months. Our concrete rug was created by Freo locals, Ang and Steve from Slick & Frank, another duo making waves across Perth for their ground-breaking textile installations. We would also like to thank James Christou of CHRISTOU Design Group and Olivia George, Interior Designer for their guidance and support throughout the fitout.

It was quite difficult to decide where to open our first shop! With a factory in Canningvale however, Claremont offered a great mid-point between Freo, the city, Northern and Eastern Suburbs. When we first saw the shop and all the natural light that filled the space, we immediately turned to one another and felt at home. We are excited to have a clean, relaxed space - a new local - within this historic inner-city suburb.
