Top Tips For Winter Wellbeing

Winter might seem like an odd time to cleanse or detox, given the frosty temperatures and our natural cravings towards richer and higher calorie foods. 

However, winter can be a great time to rest and reset with a cleanse, or begin to incorporate some fresh juices to level-up your daily nutrition: 

❄️ It’s a little quieter on the social calendar, so you can hibernate on a cleanse without too much FOMO (other than your mate's European summer hogging your feed)
❄️ Fresh fruit and veggie juices are a good source of nutrients and hydration when you’re fighting a cold or flu and have zero appetite.
❄️ By resting our digestive system, our bodies can divert that digestive energy to our immune system and other functions.
❄️ Balance out the rich comfort foods and red wine to stay healthy and energised through the colder months, rather than slow and sluggish.

SHOP WINTER CLEANSE

Here’s how we at Pressed Earth keep up our winter wellbeing:

  1. Stay warm! Layers, socks and Uggs. We lose a lot of heat through our feet, so keep ‘em toasty at all times.
  2. Warm your nut milks. Gently heat on the stove without boiling. Cacao Nuts and Chai Nuts make an especially nourishing hot drink to end your day. 
  3. Drink herbal teas throughout the day.
  4. Take your juice out of the fridge 15 mins before drinking so they're not ice-cold.
  5. Try an infrared sauna at Bodyscape for a deep sweat and cellular detoxification.
  6. Take an Epsom salt bath to support detoxification.
  7. Move every day. Rug up and take a walk or roll out the yoga mat. If gym’s your thing, we recommend adding an extra nut milk to your cleanse for extra energy and protein.
  8. Grab your broth and make a meal of it. Add fresh veggies, herbs, chilli, even some soba noodles if you need more. A quick and satisfying winter dinner. We have a delicious vegan option here.
